Lecture rooms

  • classrooms C, D, E (F. Cafiero), F (G. Tallini), G (L.M. Ricciardi), each seating 40 (Department of Mathematics and Applications Renato Caccioppoli);
  • two meeting rooms, also used for seminars and graduation sessions;
  • The system for consulting and managing the classrooms, meeting rooms and Computing Laboratory of the Department of Mathematics and Applications is available at https://www.dma.unina.it/aule/ .
  • activities may also take place in the shared classroom buildings of the Monte Sant’Angelo complex.

Laboratories
and computer rooms

  • Students of the Degree Programmes in Mathematics mainly use the Computing Laboratory of the Department of Mathematics and Applications, which has 38 workstations running the Linux operating system.
  • For Physics courses they can use the teaching laboratories at the Department of Physics.
  • Other laboratories available to students are located in the facilities of the Centre for Information Services (CSI), situated in the common centres of the Monte S.Angelo campus.

Study
rooms

  • Students of the Degree Programmes in Mathematics mainly use the reading room of the Carlo Miranda Library of the Department of Mathematics and Applications and the adjoining study rooms, with a total of 90 seats.
  • Other study rooms are located on the first level of the main classroom building of the Monte S.Angelo Campus (over 100 seats) and at the Science Teaching Area Library in the common centres of the Monte S.Angelo Campus (180 seats)

Libraries

  • Students of the Degree Programmes in Mathematics mainly use the Carlo Miranda Library of the Department of Mathematics and Applications, which holds over 25,000 specialist volumes.
  • Another library, the Science Teaching Area Library, of general scientific scope, with over 50,000 volumes and 180 reading seats, is located in the Common Centres of the Monte S.Angelo Campus.
  • The University Library Centre – CAB (http://www.sba.unina.it/) coordinates the library system and provides access to numerous online resources.

Guidance

  • Since its establishment in 2005, the Degree Programme in Mathematics has taken part in the Scientific Degrees Plan (https://www.pls.unina.it/home/matematica/), whose main aim is to promote effective guidance activities in the basic scientific subjects, including mathematics, aimed at secondary school students.
  • The University also provides the Guidance, Training and Distance Learning portal (www.orientamento.unina.it) with incoming guidance services, mainly related to entrance tests.

The activity of the Federico II Placement Office, through the ALMALAUREA Inter-University Consortium, aims to bring together the University’s graduates, to whom it offers support in circulating their CV and in career choices, and companies, which thus have a direct channel of contact for recruitment and training offers. Other University services available to all students:

  • SInAPSi University Centre offers services and supports initiatives to foster the active and participatory involvement of all students in university life (for example students with disabilities or specific learning disorders )
  • University Language Centre is the body that organises teaching, scientific and service activities relating to languages (for example for ERASMUS students)
  • CSI – University Centre for Information Services is the body responsible for IT services and infrastructure supporting teaching activities (for example email accounts)
  • Federica Web Learning is the University’s e-learning service, with numerous online courses and a wealth of teaching material
  • SEGREPASS is the online registrar’s service for students (for example to check academic records or book exams)
